Unfaithful at Holiday Inn
Entre Nous is back with another play as part of its Cocktail Theatre series. The play Unfaithful demonstrates the trials and tribulations of marriage, loss of love, loneliness and sure enough, unfaithfulness. The play is scheduled for the coming Sunday at the Holiday Inn at 7 p.m. Directed by Kunal Vijaykar, creative director in an advertising agency, it has cast of three - Boman Irani (has appeared in popular TV commercials), Cyrus Broacha (of MTV fame) and Perizaad Zorabian (model and New York stage actress).The writer Chazz Palminteri will have us believe that everyone is unfaithful in some way or the other, in thought or deed. The play depicts a wealthy society lady writing a suicide note, when a hired killer breaks in and holds the gun to her head. She learns that he has been despatched by her husband, who is in love with a another woman. However, the lady and the hired killer establish a bond of empathy, despite the diverse backgrounds. This bond restores her self-confidence and she is able to tackle the the situation of an unfaithful husband with courage.
Enjoy an evening of leisure in a relaxed ambience. And yes, the dress code is absolutely formal. It's time to check out those evening gowns, suits, silk sarees or tussar kurtas.
Hirlekar's works Malaka Spice, Pune's South-East Asian restaurant, is hosting artist Prashant Hirlekar's works July 20 to August 20. One of India's most collectible artists, he presents the theme of Darzi at this exhibition. The restaurant also celebrates its second anniversary on July 25, which will be marked by new additions to the already popular dinner menu. They are also launching a new lunch menu which focusses on light and fast South-East Asian meals.
Storming the stage
The cute Aishwarya Lohokare is all of four-and-half. And even before she is able to talk straight, she has learnt to speak with her ghungroos. Under the guidance of Pandit Krishna Swami, she will make her first stage appearance on July 26, at the Nehru Memorial Hall, 5 p.m. Her arangetram includes the Ganeshstuti, Kalash dance, Tarangam, Om Hara Shankara, the Rangpuja and Tilanna. Guru Krishna Swami is convinced Aishwarya is the youngest artiste to present her first solo dance programme. A member of the Andhra Pradesh Nritya Academy, he has trained over 200 dancers in the Kuchipudi style.

On display are photographs from 18 publications relating to the Kargil conflict. ``I wanted to make citizens aware of the brave deeds of our soldiers,'' Baldev Sadhwani Nirmohi. Just what made him do it? ``I came as a refugee during the partition and was my school education was free of cost. This is my way of repaying the society,'' he says. The two-day exhibition is on till Monday.
