Indian Bank losses mount, net worth eroded
In a repeat performance, Indian Bank has announced that its losses have more than doubled to Rs 788.50 crore during fiscal 1999 from Rs 301.5 crore a year ago.

VSNL Q1 net up 14.07 pc to Rs 355 cr
Lower accounting rates has impacted the revenues of international telecom provider Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd in the first quarter of 1999-2000. The company reported only a marginal 5.33 per cent growth in revenues at Rs 1780.9 crore and 14.07 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 355.1 crore.
