M F Husain seeks transfer of Saraswati-related cases to Delhi

NEW DELHI, AUG 2: The Supreme Court today issued notices on a petition by well-known artist M F Husain, seeking transfer to Delhi all criminal cases filed against him at different places for his painting of Goddess Saraswati allegedly depicted in an improper manner.

A Division Bench issued notices after the petitioner's counsel contended that it would be difficult for his client to go to all the places when they had been filed.
