PATIALA, August 2: Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB) lifted the team championship among men with 69 points and Bathinda bagged the team championship among women in the Senior Punjab State powerlifting championship which concluded at the Rotary Bhawan, Rajpura near here yesterday.Ludhiana finished runners up behind PSEB while Bathinda women, who had 72 were followed by Patiala with 54 points.
Sushil Kumar (PSEB) was declared as the best male lifter while Narinder Kaur (Patiala) got the award among women. Piara Singh (Patiala) and Mandeep Kaur (Bathinda) were also felicitated.
Susheel Kumar of PSEB won the 125 kg category while Rakesh Kumar (Ludhiana) and Lukinder Singh (Bathinda) finished behind him.
