Dan Burton withdraws anti-India amendment
Anti-India Republican Congressman Dan Burton withdrew his amendment seeking to cut US aid to New Delhi by 11 million dollars under pressure from members of the House of Representatives.
Advanced Jet Trainer before year-end -- Air Chief
The government has accepted the Indian Air Force's proposal for buying Advanced Jet Trainers (AJT) and the first such aircraft would be acquired before the year-end, Air Chief A Y Tipnis said.
Missile test no threat to other countries -- China
China said that its latest test-firing of a long-range surface-to-surface missile did not pose a threat to other countries and described the test as normal and scheduled.
