ISE chalks out plans to salvage itself
The Inter-Connected Stock Exchange (ISE) is trying to justify its presence by planning tie-ups with other stock exchanges like the NSE and the BSE, introduction of badla and function as a regional exchange for low-cap companies based in Mumbai.

Inflation rises to 1.62 per cent
After touching a two-decade low, inflation rate shot up 0.43 points to 1.62% for the week ended July 31, mainly due to rise in prices of food and fuel.

BIFR stays tax recovery from SM Dyechem
SM Dyechem has got a reprieve from Maharashtra sales tax department following a Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) order which stayed all proceedings against the company for recovery of sales tax dues.
