PUNE, AUG 23: Asha Gawli, the wife of underworld don-turned-politician Arun Gawli, was busy at Khed filing her nominations for the ensuing State Assembly polls when Additional District and Sessions Judge S R Khanzode was rejecting her husband's bail application on Monday afternoon.
The hearing of Gawli's bail application came up in a jam-packed courtroom at the District and Sessions Court premises in Shivajinagar around 3.15 p.m. Around the same time, Asha Gawli was entering inside the office of the Sub Divisional Officer at Khed - about 90 kms from here to file her nominations. And Gawli himself was cooling his heels in a cell of the Yerawada Central Prison.
Asha Gawli has filed two nominations, one from Khed-Alandi Assembly Constituency and the other from Ambegaon Assembly Constituency.
