Atal to Nawaz -- Why Kargil after Lahore?
Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee used the occasion of greeting Pakistan on its Independence Day on August 14, to tell Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that just when things were going so well for both countries -- at Lahore -- the relationship nearly went under by the undeclared war at Kargil.
Army hands over bodies of five Pak soldiers
On a special request by Pakistan, the Army exhumed the bodies of five Pakistani soldiers killed during the Kargil war and handed them over.
70 devotees feared drowned in bus mishap
About 60 to 70 people were feared drowned when a bus carrying them plunged into a pond at Uchchingidurga in Harapanahalli taluk of Davanagere district on Thursday afternoon.
