Israel frees 199 Palestinian prisoners
In the first concrete step towards peace-making, Israel on Thursday set free 199 Palestinian prisoners to start the implementation of the revised Wye land for security deal which also requires transfer of seven per cent of West Bank land to Palestinian rule by the weekend.

A new US report on religious freedom across the world has said there was "a deterioration of religious tolerance" in several states in India and criticized what it described as "inadequate government response in many cases."
