St Stephen's girls clinch title

NEW DELHI, September 16: St Stephen's girls outplayed Lady Sri Ram College 64-41 to win the Royal Club Basketball title.

Leading 27-21 at half-time, St Stephen's surged ahead after the break with contributions mainly from Nishita Chaudhary 23, Neha Mayor 19, Shanivi 12 and Manila 7). Ankita (14), Avni (11), Komal (10) and Piya (6) were the main scorers for LSR.

In the men's section, Army Signal Corps upset defending champions CRPF 87-63. Phool Singh (32), GRL Prasad (20), Amarnathan (10) were main scorers for winners while Sanjay (21), Ishfak Khan (10) and Dalbir (8) scored for CRPF.

In the school boys section, Ramjas School No 4 defeated Delhi Public School (Mathura Road) 77-59, leading 28-20 at half-time. Yogesh (30), Gaurav (26), Maninder (12) scored for Ramjas while Hrishant (27), Sanjit (24), Adhiraj (6) scored for DPS.
