Yesterday once more
After the disbelieving hush that descended on the Congress's 24 Akbar Road headquarters as Lok Sabha results began pouring in, perhaps it was only in keeping with the party's deeply treasured traditions that the first sign of determined action was a resignation.

The right signals
The new government at the Centre will have to hit the ground running if it wants, as it says, to put the economy on the path to rapid growth.

The colour of the agenda
The BJP is lucky. The allies have given it a tally of 295. On its own, it has secured only 182. The figure is only one more than what the party had in the last Lok Sabha.
