PUNE, Oct 12: Pune Division represented by Fergusson College lifted the Zonal badminton under-19 boys title beating Ahmednagar 2-0 in the final played at the WIE Sports Complex here today. In the distaff section of the same age group, Pune (SP College) claimed the title at the expense of Ahmednagar (SSGM College) 2-0.
Varun Khanwalkar disposed of A Aditya 15-1, 15-4 to put the Pune boys ahead before Ajit Phatak sealed the issue with 15-6, 15-7 over S Sumit.
Pune overall made a clean sweep bagging all titles at stake in the under-14, 17 and 19 sections respectively. Four divisions which included Solapur, Ahmednagar, Raigadh and host's Pune took part in the one-day championship.
Meanwhile, the winners will proceed for the State championships to be held in Chandrapur. However the dates and venue have not been finalised.

U-17: Boys: Pune (Muktangan) b Solapur (Siddeshwar Prashala): 2-0 (Soham Gadgil b Shreyas Namture 15-0; 15-2; Harshad Bhagwat bt Nishant Bansode 15-6, 15-5).
Girls: Pune (Symbiosis Secondary) b Raigad (KV Kanya Vidyalaya): 2-0 (Dhanya Nair b Samraddi Mahatre 11-0, 11-0; Swapna Kulkarni b Gandhali Khare 11-1, 11-4).
U-19: Boys: Pune (Fergusson College) b Ahmednagar (RBNB College, Srirampur): 2-0 (Varun Khanwalkar b Aditya Damani 15-3, 15-1; Ajit Phatak b Sunit Tribhuvan 15-2, 15-7).
Girls: Pune (SP College) b Ahmednagar (SSGM College): 2-0 (Mugdha Bhagwat b Anjali Joshi 11-0, 11-1; Manasi Bhave b Amruta Joshi 11-0, 11-1).
