Truck stir hits cargo movement
Indian truckers said their nationwide strike was gathering strength and affecting the movement of export cargo to ports in its sixth day on Tuesday. But the government said the strike had been called off in eastern Orissa state and western Gujarat state, and the movement of cargo to ports was being maintained.

A-I gets $ 100 mn debt facility
Despite a high short term debt of Rs 1,100 crore, loss-making airline Air-India signed yet another $ 100 million (Rs 443 crore) term loan facility under the Foreign Currency Non-Resident (B) scheme with Bank of Baroda and Bank of India.

Pivotals remain steady on BSE
Pivotals generally showed a steady trend on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday in absence of speculative support. Resuming slightly better, share prices attracted profit-taking at the end mainly on lack of buying support from foreign funds and bull operators.
