Allies were not told -- Naidu
There was no respite for the government on the diesel price hike front with a key NDA ally TDP leader and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu criticising the way the Centre effected hike the entire Opposition in the Lok Sabha walking out protesting against Government's "failure" to give an assurance to roll back the price of diesel.

Kalyan Singh will not be replaced -- BJP
The BJP on Tuesday ruled out replacing Kalyan Singh as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister in the wake of the party's debacle in the Lok Sabha elections in the State where it got 29 seats.

For the West Bengal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the party has begun in full swing. Of its two candidates elected to the Lok Sabha in the just-concluded elections, one has been made a Minister of State in the Union Cabinet.
