JMM(S) workers resign en masse
Office-bearers of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (Soren), including vice-president Suraj Mandal, have resigned en masse from their posts, bringing to the fore sharp differences between Mandal and party chief Shibu Soren.
Thackeray predicts short tenure for State Govt
Even as the newly-elected Shiv Sena legislators learnt a lesson or two on how to perform as an effective Opposition during the two-day workshop which concluded on Sunday, party supremo Balasaheb Thackeray asserted that the saffron combine will not be required to sit in the Opposition benches for a very long time.
BJP to amend party constitution
The BJP National Council would ratify the suggestions of the Central Committee to make certain amendments to the party's constitution during a three-day meet of its Executive Body and National Council in the last week of December in Chennai, BJP general secretary M Venkaiah Naidu said in Chennai on Sunday.
