Holy Cow!
The undisputed holy cow is wholly holy no doubt. Strange are the ways of God. We have heard of, if not seen, stones shaped like the much worshipped and revered Lord Ganesh, but it is very rare that the cow gets so much attention and attains a fruity form which belongs to Lucas D'souza of Bhagyodaya Nagar in Kondhwa. A cow by itself is no news till it becomes a papaya.

Parvati, the hill crowned by temples is an integral park of the city's landscape. This historic landmark the city also doubles up as a paradise for morning and evening walks. And now, Sharangdhar Pharma Ltd has announced `Chyavangrans 99 Parvati Climbing Competition', a competition to climb this hill in the shortest time. The event is to be held on November 28 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m.``The main aim of the company is to promote health activities among the Punekars. A similar competition had been arranged two years ago and was received very well which is why it has been reorganised,'' says organiser Anuradha Tapkir.

The competition has been divided into different age groups of 10-18, 18-35, 35-55 and above 55 (Those below 18 years will have to provide a letter of consent from their parents as well as a fitness certificate from a doctor.). There are separate groups for males and females. Free registration has started from November 15 and will continue till two days before the event. The details can beobtained from the company's office in Muktangan Commercial complex, Sahakarnagar. The Sign reads: Your Taxes at work. Please go slow. And reading this, who won't ? After all, it is our money being dug up and buried. Slow we shall go. So what if there may be bumps to start with and pot-holes later on? So what if the digging causes a minor hassle to the smooth flow of traffic ? We are used to such things now, aren't we ? And folks, remember it is your money, DO BE CAREFUL.
