CHANDIGARH, NOV 21: Former member of parliament Satya Pal Jain and Chandigarh mayor Kewal Krishan Adiwal today welcomed the appointment of Lt Gen J.F.R. Jacob (retd) as Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Union Territory of Chandigarh.In a joint statement issued here today, Jain and Adiwal also thanked and expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Home Minister L.K. Advani for appointing a seasoned person like Jacob, having good administrative experience as the Administrator of Chandigarh.
The two leaders said Jacob, as the Governor of Goa, took keen interest in solving its various issues as well as ensuring overall development of the state.
