AUCKLAND: A boy from Brazil bearing the famous soccer name Leonardo scored a hat-trick today as they beat Paraguay 4-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the Under-17 World championship.

Leonardo, who shares the name with the AC Milan and Brazil senior team star, scored twice inside the opening 37 minutes and restored the margin with his third on 56 after Paraguay's Alejandro Da Silva scored just before halftime. Australia meet US, and Brazil take on Ghana in the semis.
