Hindustan overcome Youngmen

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 21: Delhi's Hindustan Football Club kept their Durand Cup hopes alive with a well deserved 3-1 victory over another local side Youngmen Football Club in the qualifying match at Ambedkar Stadium here today.

Though both sides fought hard to remain on top, it was Hindustan who had the upperhand. After a see-saw battle Hindustan managed to end the deadlock in the 20th minute through Mahesh Bisht.

Jolted by the dent, Youngmen sprang back into action and attempted to equalise. But the goal had acted as a morale booster for Hindustan and they pressed for more. They found luck again in the 50th minute through Dharmender Kharola. As Hindustan tried to score more, Youngmen regrouped themselves and went all out on attack and managed to reduce margin in the 60th minute. In the 81st minute, Md Khalid scored the winner to seal Youngmen's fate.

Tomorrow, Hindustan meet Gorkha Brigade.
