IT raid Bihar minister, property, cash recovered
Income tax raids on the official residence of Bihar Health Minister, Mahabir Prasad, and some other department officials recovered movable and immovable property worth crores of rupees, and cash running into lakhs of rupees.

JMM bribery case -- Recording of evidence closed
Two years after the multi-crore JMM MPS bribery case trial began, a city court on Wednesday completed recording of evidences of witnesses in the case. Former premier P V Narasimha Rao is also facing trial.

Govt to impose Customs duty on wheat
Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha announced in the Lok Sabha that the Government had decided to impose a 50 per cent customs duty on common and `durum' varieties of wheat in a bid to stimulate offtake of wheat from the Central pool.
