Notice served on Rupin Patchigar

SURAT, Dec 2: In a secret meeting on Thursday, the District Congress Committee (DCC) decided to serve showcause notices on Rupin Patchigar (the party's candidate for Surat Lok Sabha constituency in the last elections), Babubhai Sethna, Umesh Mehta, Prabhudas Patel and Mahendra Suratia for ``defying party directive.''The decision comes close on the heels of a similar showcause notice issued to State Youth Congress General Secretary Sanjay Patwa, Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee President C D Patel, however, said he had not directed Surat City Congress President to suspend anyone.
