The bus was trying to overtake vehicles through a kachcha road on the left. The victims are yet to be identified.

The bus stopped only after its front wheels fell into a ditch. When the police arrived at the spot, the driver had already fled. ``Either the bus was empty or the commuters had fled after the accident,'' said a policeman.

The bodies of the woman (around 35) and the teenage girl and boy were taken to the Safdarjung mortuary. They were believed to have been returning from the Pir Baba mazhaar. ``We believe the victims live in nearby Sagarpur. We are trying to trace the woman's family,'' said SHO Satpal Gupta.
