Maruti Baleno: Sleek, Silent, Spirited

Free internet access

MUMBAI, JANUARY 22: While Internet is still an expensive proposition for computer buffs in India, Cheecoo Networks has come out with a unique offer of free Internet time from a choice of internet service providers (ISPs). ``Cheecoo does not charge its members any registration, set-up fees or monthly subscription charges,'' said a statement from the company.

``Obtaining the free access to the Internet through Cheecoo Networks is easy. Simply log in using any existing Internet connection onto the Cheecoo website (www.cheecoo.com) and follow the registration instructions. It will provide the free access on a first-come-first-serve basis,'' it said. The free hours are currently limited to a maximum of 15 hours per month. When the member's credit reaches a minimum of 30 hours, the member can request Cheecoo to pay the ISP so that the Internet account gets refreshed by an equal number of hours.

``The internet access comes through its proprietary communications device, the Cheecoobar," it said.
