Govt looks the other way as telecom firms default
Thanks to the Communications Minister Ram Vilas Paswan and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), telecom companies may be encouraged to treat all deadlines for paying up their licence fees very lightly.




Santro overtakes Zen, Esteem sales
Hyundai Motors' Santro has for the first time overtaken Maruti Udyog's Zen and Esteem car models. Hyundai sold 7402 units of its 1000-cc Santro model as compared to Maruti's Zen model sales of 6337 units in January.




Sensex spurts 89 pts on FII buying
Share values spurted on the BSE on foreign fund buying and follow-up purchases by speculators. Sensex gained 1.71% or 89.38 points as sharp overnight gains in US markets and reports of positive foreign fund flows triggered a rally.
