Unwell, Sushma turns down plea to campaign

NEW DELHI, FEB 5: While the BJP today announced the launch of its campaign for Haryana assembly polls simultaneously from eight places on February 8, the name of the its star campaigner Sushma Swaraj was not on the list of campaigners.

Sushma will be skipping Haryana, Bihar and Orissa since she is down with diabetic neuropathy increased sugar levels in the blood causing neurological changes in the body.

Though Sushma has been flooded with calls from party leaders from all three states to campaign for their candidates, she has rejected them since she has been advised rest. She may review her decision after a medical check-up on February 15. HRD Minister M.M. Joshi launched the campaign in Bihar yesterday. L.K. Advani will visit the state on Feb 6, A.B. Vajpayee will address an election rally at Rohtak on Feb 8 when Uma Bharti will launch the campaign at Gurgaon.
