After N Korea's assurance, India lets go of ship
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE

BHUJ, FEBRUARY 11: More than seven months after it was detained at Kandla port, allegedly for carrying Pakistan-bound military hardware, North Korean ship Kuvol San has sailed for home after the North Korean government gave a ``sovereign guarantee'' to pay the fine that may be imposed by the Customs in the adjudication order.

``We allowed the ship to go last week,'' said Kandla Customs Collector Prem Raj. North Korean embassy officials visited Kandla to complete the formalities for obtaining port clearance.
