Action taken by Tamil Nadu govt against NBFCs

Dear Sir,
The letter refers to the recent action taken by Tamil Nadu government against the directors of NBFCs. In the West, one is innocent until he/she is proved guilty, but in India you are guilty until you prove your innocence. I can understand the plight of the investors who have put their hard earned money in these companies, but booking directors who have resigned years ago and leaving those who are really responsible untouched is not going to solve the problem. What would the government do to undo the damage if these directors are proved innocent? There are a few things which I can not understand in these cases, the legal system treats the accused in different ways i.e some directors are arrested while others are not, some are granted bail while others are not even if they are dying. These actions are going to hurt innocent people and thier families.

Regards,
Appan, U.S.A
