D&B bullish on India
MUMBAI, JULY 15: Dun & Bradstreet India has released its Business Optimism Index for India for the period July -- September (Q3) 2000. ``While surveys conducted for previous three quarters mirrored the buoyant economic sentiment prevailing in the country, the Q3 2000 survey has revealed an unprecedented upsurge in optimism,'' said Rajesh Mirchandani, Vice President & Managing Director D&B -- ASEAN/South Asia. All five World Indexes for net sales, net profits, selling prices, inventories and employee levels continued their relentless forward march for the third consecutive quarter. The results of the survey showed increased levels of optimism worldwide, with a substantial gain in Europe and a particularly strong upturn in Asia. Commented Joseph W Duncan, D&B's Chief Economist, ``The D&B World Optimism Index is now at the highest point we've seen since the late 1980s.''
