AP effects mass scale transfers of IPS officers
OCT 9: The Andhra Pradesh Government today affected transfers and postings of some Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the state. Umesh Sharaff, on return from deputation to UN Mission at Bosnia, was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad City in the existing vacancy. M V Dinakar Prasad, superintendent of police, Intelligence Department, is transferred and posted as deputy commissioner of police, Traffic, Hyderabad City. K Narasimha Rao, assistant inspector-general of police, Administration, has been posted as deputy commissioner of police, Crime Detective Branch, Hyderabad City. M V Rao has been posted as superintendent of police, Intelligence Department. V Venugopala Krishna, group commander, Grey Hounds, is transferred and posted as superintendent of police, Medak district, in the existing vacancy. K Srinivasa Reddy, Commandant, VIII Battalion, AP Special Police, has been transferred as superintendent of police, Nellore district. Soumya Mishra, additional superintendent of police, Karimnagar, is transferred and posted as superintendent of police, Vigilance and Enforcement, Karimnagar, an official release said here.
