Suhail, Kesar guide DU into final

New Delhi, January 10: Powered by Suhail Sharma's all-round performance (71 not out and 2 for 32) and a captain's knock of 60 not out by Kesar Chaudhary and their 122-run stand for the unbroken eighth wicket, helped Delhi beat Osmania by virtue of their first innings lead to enter the final of the All India Rohinton Baria Trophy cricket tournament at Pant Nagar, according to reports reaching here.

Suhail and kesar came together after Delhi, chasing Osmani's 190, were struggling at 110 for seven. Delhi made 256 for seven at the end of the second day. With the third and final day's play washed out, Delhi qualified on first innings lead.

Brief scores:Osmania: 190 (Shashank 56, Sangram Singh 2 for 24, Suhail Sharma 2 for 32, Sidharth Verma 2 for 34).

Delhi: 256 for 7 (Suhail Sharma 71 not out, Kesar Chaudhary 60 not out, Manish Chawla 39, Abdullah 4 for 74).
