Srinagar, February 5: Normal life was disrupted in Srinagar and other major towns of Kashmir valley on Tuesday following a complete shutdown to mark “Kashmir Solidarity Day”.

Srinagar's main market looks deserted on 'Kashmir Day'

Although no secessionist or militant outfit called for a strike, shops and business establishments in most parts of Srinagar remained closed and only skeleton transport was plying.

The shutdown also affected work in government and semi-government offices, banks, courts and other establishment throughout the Valley, reports said.

Reports of partial bandh being observed were also received from district headquarters of Baramulla, Kupwara in North, Badgam in central and Pulwama and Anantnag in South Kashmir.(Agencies)
