Indore Eleven persons, including the kin of leaders belonging to certain political parties, have been arrested for allegedly gangraping two teenaged girls at Betma town in the district, police said today.

Among those arrested yesterday were, Vikas Bharti, son of BJP corporator Rajni Bharti, and Dilip Kushwaha, Congress corporator Daryavbai's grandson.

The two victims, aged 18 and 19, were allegedly sexually assaulted by 15 people at a farm near Betma town on February 10, police said.

According to officials, one of the accused, Javed, called the girls to his farm under the pretext of giving them a job and later raped them along with 14 of his friends.

After committing the crime, the accused threatened the duo of dire consequences if they reported the matter to anyone.

However, the victims mustered courage later and narrated their ordeal to their relatives, who approached police yesterday, following which the arrests were made.

Police have registered a complaint against 15 people, they said, adding that no accused had any previous criminal background.

A manhunt has been launched to nab the other absconding accused, they said, adding that further probe is on.
