Ludhiana Thirteen laptops were reportedly stolen from an electronic shop in Model Town Extension area last evening. A similar number of power adapters were also missing.

Honey, the owner of Computer Home, where the theft reportedly occurred, came to know of the incident when the peon opened the store on Tuesday morning.

“The peon of the shop informed us about the theft. When the peon came to clean the shop in the morning, he found that the shutter of the shop was open and the locks were missing,” Honey said.

He added that the thieves had taken the locks along with them. “We are still checking the stocks to see if anything else is also missing and to estimate the exact loss,” he said.

He claimed that the shop was properly locked around 9 pm on Monday evening.

Model Town police station SHO Beant Juneja, said that goods worth Rs 2 lakh have been stolen. He added that the police team is engaged in verifying the stocks to ascertain the quantum of loss. “Till now, there is no clue about those who were involved in the theft,” said Juneja.
