According to the police, Dooni Chand of Phase VI, who works as a manager with a private firm, had come to the market around 1 pm in his car.
Investigation officer Harbhinder Kumar said Chand went to a sweet shop, leaving the car and his driver near the post office in the market. As the driver was waiting, the police said, a boy, aged around 15 years, came to him and said oil was leaking from beneath the bonnet of the car.
The driver came out and opened the bonnet but did not find any leakage. When Chand returned, the police said, he found the bag that he had left on the rear seat of the car missing.
