2 Bangla nationals held for stealing life jacket

Kolkata, May 4 Seventeen-year-old Mohammed Aminul Islam and his father, Mohammed Abdul Kalam Azad, were off-loaded from a Kolkata-Dhaka Jet Airways flight on Sunday for stealing a life jacket from a flight. Both father and son were residents of Bangladesh.

On their way back, the duo boarded a Jet Airways flight from Chennai to Kolkata. During the flight, Aminul stole the life jacket from his seat and kept it in his hand baggage.

They were supposed to board Jet Airways flight 9W-274 from kolkata to Dhaka at 7 am on Sunday. But the two were caught by CISF officials at Dum Dum airport.

“Jet Airways has decided not to press charges against them as the father is a patient. They will board a flight to Dhaka on Monday,” said a Jet Airways official
