Mumbai The Mumbai District Collectorate is searching for two foreign nationals injured in the 26/11 terror attack. According to the officials, as the address and nationality of the foreigners are not available, the state government is unable to provide them with Rs 1.5 lakh compensation.

Allison Morrison and Xi Fung Chen were admitted on November 26 to the Bombay Hospital and were discharged on November 27 and November 29 respectively. However, they had not given any contact number or address to the hospital authorities.

However, now the Mumbai district collector has asked the citizens to forward information on these injured foreigners, if they get any, to collector_mumbaicity@maharashtra.gov.in or its old Custom House address or fax it to 22664232.

People injured in the terror attack can avail of Rs 50,000 compensation from the state government and Rs 1 lakh from the Prime Minister’s fund. While many of the injured, who hail from poor families, have accepted the compensation from the government, almost all injured foreign nationals refused to accept the compensation.

As many as 190 people were injured and 174 were killed in the 26/11 attack. The injured were admitted to the JJ, St George, GT, Cama, KEM, Sion, Nair, Cooper, Jaslok, Hinduja, Breach Candy, Harkisandas, Saife and Bombay hospitals. Of the 174 dead, 148 were Indians and 26 were foreigners.
