2 molested, one in bus, another at home

Pune, January 8 A woman clerk at the office of Geological Survey of India (GSI) at Phulenagar, Vishrantwadi was allegedly molested in a bus belonging to the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus. The accused was identified as 50-year-old M T Pendam, who was working as a peon at the victim’s office.

A complaint was lodged at the Vishrantwadi police station. According to the police, the victim was going to Alandi by the bus around 2 pm. The accused allegedly boarded the same bus and taking advantage of the crowd, he misbehaved with the victim.

Meanwhile, in another case, the Yerwada police have booked a security agency employee Mahesh Madhukar Lingade of Warje Malwadi for allegedly molesting a 23-year-old from Kalyani Nagar. Police sub-inspector B D Dere said that the couple happened to meet each other through Shaadi Point marriage bureau about six months ago. They were planning to get married. But on Monday, a dispute arose between the two after which Lingade went to the girl’s home and molested her, police said.
