The function was presided over by Principal GCW R K Aulakh. Gurwinder Kaur, head of the Fine Arts Department, welcomed the chief guest. She lauded the efforts of the students of both the undergraduate and post-graduate classes. Those who were present on the occasion included Neelam Sharma, vice principal, Professor Kulwant Singh, senior tutor, Mandeep Kaur and Praveen Kumar, Sapna.
In the under-graduate competitions, in pot painting, Anchal of BBK DAV College, Amritsar, won the first prize. In poster-making, Deepjot Kaur of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, got the first prize. The winner in still life was Rajvir Kaur of Government College, Hoshiarpur. The first prize in landscape painting was bagged by Satwinder Kaur of Bhutta College of Education. In life drawing, Gurparneet Kaur of Guru Nanak Girls college was adjudged the winner.
In post graduate level, Ravneet Kaur of GCW won the first prize in life drawing. In imaginative landscape, Jaspreet Kaur of Ramgarhia Girls College was adjudged the winner. In creative composition and pot-paining, Kanishka of GCW and Radhika of BBK DAV College, Amritsar, bagged the first prize, respectively. In greeting card painting, Davinder Kaur of GCW got the first prize.
