The incident took place near Vikas Gruh Girls’ Hostel in Ellisbridge area around 12.30 pm on Saturday. Mrugha Pandya, a resident of Manekbaug area and the accused, was later arrested on charges of causing grievous hurt and rash driving.

According to the police, Pandya lost control and hit a scooter parked near a pan shop close to Vikas Gruh. After tossing the two-wheeler on the roadside, she hit two scooters, two motorcycles and a few bicycles parked nearby. One Jignesh Parmar was hit and injured in the process. But Pandya rushed the injured man to a city hospital in an emergency van belonging to the state government. He is presently under treatment there.
