24 summer trains from Pune to Ahmedabad

Pune, March 25 The Central Railway will run 24 extra summer trains in two months between Pune and Ahmedabad to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer vacation. Weekly special train 147 will leave the city station at 3.20 pm on Thursdays from April 9 to June 25 and arrive at Ahmedabad at 4.30 am on Friday. Train 148 will leave Ahmedabad at 3 pm on thursdays and arrive in Pune by 4.30 am on Friday.

The reservations for the summer special trains for 147 will begin reservation from March 27.

“This is a positive move as commuters can get connecting trains from Ahmedabad to places in Rajasthan like Chitorgarh, Udaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Saurashtra, Ajmer and Bhavnagar. There are many trains from Ahmedabad that leave for Rajasthan between 5 am to 9 am,” said Harsha Shah, president Railway Pravasi group.
