NOIDA, March 6 A 24-year-old man committed suicide at his Sector-12 residence in Noida on Thursday. Ashish Dhar, a call centre employee in Noida, hanged himself from the ceiling fan. Police suspect the reason behind the suicide could be a love affair gone sour. Dhar had been working with a call centre in Sector-58 and his phone records have revealed he had been having a heated discussion with a girl and his brother at 12 pm, just a few hours before committing suicide.

Ashish’s father, a retired government servant, said he was not aware of any such girl problem. Ashish’s parents found his body at 3:15 pm. Police have sent the body for post-mortem. “We are waiting for the post-mortem report and the surveillance team is checking his call records. More links will be established soon,” said Rakesh Gautam, SP (City).
