9-11 attack

Islamabad Pakistan has termed as baseless the US allegations regarding the presence of culprits involved in terror incidents in the US and India living in Pakistan.

Reacting to the statement given by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton alleging that the perpetrators of US 9/11 and Indian 26/11 are in Pakistan, Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit said these culprits were not in Pakistan but in Afghanistan instead.

Talking to the media in New Delhi, Clinton had asked Pakistan to act against the culprits of the Mumbai attacks, adding that terrorism was a major problem, which threatened global peace.

Pakistan said that it was moving “systematically” in probing the Mumbai terror attacks to bring the perpetrators to justice and there should not be an “iota of doubt” about its intentions.

Basit lauded Pakistan’s intelligence agencies for doing a “commendable job” in collecting evidence and bringing the case to the prosecution stage.

“I think our intelligence agencies have done a commendable job and that they, through their own investigation, collected more evidence than what was provided by India, and now we are moving actual prosecution,” Basit told an Indian television channel.

“And the chargesheet has already been filed and I understand that the first hearing would be sometime next week. So we are moving systematically,” he said.

He said Pakistan was committed to bring to justice those responsible and “whatever can be done will be done, 'The News' reported.

RATAN GUPTA by Anil on 20 Jul 2009

Stop hiding behind a pseudonym. And what's the big deal about having degrees from "powerhouses". You may get impressed by that, many do not. You see the problem is your prophet tried to get you out of the dark ages, and that is what his work was really about. You now want to go back to those ages, thereby doing a complete disservice to his teachings.

US aids terrorism by Hero Vaz on 20 Jul 2009

Is it because the terrorists are in Pak that the US is stuffing Pak with aid? Another 9/11 can be expected soon and, when it comes, perhaps some sense will dawn on the dim Americans.

26/11, 9/11 terrorists living in Afghanistan: Pak by Ratan Gupta on 20 Jul 2009

Even BBC is telecasting the clips of 9/11 to be insider's job. The whole idea of linking one to another is a sham. Somebody commented that Muslims treat their women differently. If that is so, then why on earth thousands and thousands of highly educated Caucasian White women from Australia to America are embracing Islamic religion from the education powerhouses of Harward, Cambridge, Oxford, Princeton and other places? These are not martial conversions. Today, faaar more educated women are folding into the Islamic Religion than any other religion in the world. Now, for God's sake don't call them this or that! By the way Christianity has sufficeintly converted their women to be working and white collar prostitutes in the west at least. Accept the facts my friends. Our Hindu brothers demands dowry that is resulting to thousands of deads every year. Women should touch my feet is not a Moslem concept by the way.

Wow? by Hunter on 21 Jul 2009

You're a terrible person to say that Christian women are prostitutes. I'm a christian and our women are certainly not prostitutes! Why do you think that Christianity is gaining believers in other coninents and Hinduism is not? And don't ever call Christians postitutes. Christians are the people that provide money and supplies when some tragedy happens. You're religion is great mine is great. Why can't we all live in peace.

26/11 Terrorists living in Pak by kadar on 20 Jul 2009

What a cheek. "our intelligence agencies have done commendable job"! They are the ones who orchestrated Mumbai Mayhem Mr Basit so it will be dead easy for them to "collect" evidence.

It's about time the Mumbai attackers have been found by Hunter on 20 Jul 2009

This was a difficult process for both the sovereign nations of India and Pakistan. Sadly though, the Pakistans were not as willing to investigate the matter of the 26/11 terrorist attacks. India was extremely patient on the matter and provided information and opportunities for Pakistan to investigate the incident. The Pqkistanis did cooperate, but it still took the professionalism of the international commitee from the U.N. Now the next process is to locate the suspects and detain them if possible and then have a formal trial involving the governments of Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and the United Nations. Also the operations in Pakistan are outstanding! With both countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan cooperating, this will hopefully weaken or even eliminate the powerful Taliban. God (Allah) be with us.

IT IS TIME INDIA ACCEPTS THAT TERRORIST ARE LIVING IN INDIA by n.r.i on 20 Jul 2009

INDIA SHOULD NOW ADMIT THAT ITS RAW SERVICE AND ARMY IS INVOLVED IN TERRORISM ON OF ADVICE OF PAKIS. AND U.S. INDIA SHOULD HAND OVER JAMMU AND KASHMIR TO PAKIS. AND ARUNACHAL PRADESH TO CHINA , NOW AND STOP EXPORTING TERROR TO PAKI. LAND . MANMOHAN HAS PROVED IN EGYPT THAT INDIA IS PROBLEM AND NOT PAKIS. JAI HIND

Your imagination by NRI on 20 Jul 2009

I am an NRI too. Unlike you Sir, I am fully aware of India' history. Have you listened or heard about today the 26/11 terrorist's confessions in Mumbai Court today. His confession proves how wrong, how shalllow and how unIndian you are. It has finally proved it is Pakistan and not India which is exporting terrorism not only to India but all over the world. Wake up mate to your Pakistan's sins.

This is the kind of attitude that starts wars by Hunter on 20 Jul 2009

These problems can't be fixed in a day espcially in a land as dangerous as PAKISTAN. Have patience, my country waited for over a hundred years to gain land that was taken. Patience is wisdom. God will help you.

NRI wtihout a name. by Sridhar on 20 Jul 2009

You are living in a cookoo land. Pakistan should hand over the POK to India to which it rightly belongs. Pakistan never existed before 1947. It is an artificial country. Arunachal Pradesh is part of India i.e. Bharat, which was Bharat and which will be Bharat. Shame you all yourself NRI or are you a Non-respected Indian or Non respected idiot.

???? by Hunter on 20 Jul 2009

If you're still whining about these stupid problems, and everyone did this would cause another stupid war! You need to look past this and accept the present and always try to work towards a better tomorrow. God will help you get there just have hope. These problems will be fixed in the future. But for now we must wait for the wars to end.

NRI wtihout a name by ajay on 20 Jul 2009

It seems the nri withoutname is a pakistani. He should know that all the pakis were earlier hindus. So, come back to your roots. Come back to your original religion. All the problems will be sorted out.

No by Hunter on 20 Jul 2009

No, No, No it's bad to try to convert someone that is a muslim. India itself at one time came close to being an Islamic nation. Proof? The Taj Mahal. I'm a Christian not a muslim or Hindu but I view both religions as a very good way of teaching life. (except the women part in Islam)-very unfair
