Ghaziabad, July 5 Three youths were arrested on Friday for allegedly abducting a teenager and raping her for almost three weeks while confining the 17-year-old in a house in Loni, Ghaziabad.

According to a report lodged by the victim’s brother, she was abducted on June 16 evening, from Laxmi Garden area here, while she had stepped out of the house to get water from the public hand pump.

The arrested — all below 20 and residents of Loni — have been identified as Ramu, Zhakir and Vikki; a fourth accused, Salim, is still absconding, Loni police station officer Rajesh Dwivedi said on Saturday.

The girl has alleged that the foursome raped her at a nurse’s house in Loni. “I was kept there all these days… and assaulted every day.” She also showed marks of 11 stitches on her abdomen and claimed she was operated upon at the nurse’s house, though “I do not recall anything about it”.

The police, though, have not got any leads into the nurse’s role in the alleged abduction and rape. Police rescued the girl and arrested the boys from Pusta Chowk, Dwivedi said.

Ghaziabad SSP Deepak Ratan said a case has been filed under IPC Sections 376, 366 and 363 (rape and abduction). “We have got the preliminary medical report and the victim will be sent for other tests on Monday,” SSP Ratan said.
