New Delhi The South Delhi Police have arrested three men for duping investors of lakhs of rupees after issuing them fake memberships of various national/international holiday resorts. The police said the accused have been identified as Dharmender (36), Kanchan Kumar Singh (35) and Subhash Badoni (34). All three accused are graduates from the Delhi University. The police said the accused had earlier worked for companies offering holiday or vacation tours and they used their experience in the field to cheat people.

Police officers said that they received a complaint from one Lieutenant Colonel Susan Johan who was duped of Rs 2,04,000 for a club membership for 20 years. She was, however, not issued a membership card. “Later, she came to know that the company office had shut down,” DCP(South) HGS Dhaliwal said.

The police received other complaints about the same company. On the basis of tip-offs, the police managed to arrest the three accused from Karol Bagh and Lajpat Nagar.
