Kolkata Three youths of West Bengal drowned in a river near Mysore on Sunday afternoon. They had gone there on a picnic. Azad Khan, Muhammad Aftab Alam and Javed Ali of Bashiruddin Manzil in Tikiapara in Howrah were employed as zari workers in a factory in Bangalore.

On Sunday afternoon, the trio along with their friends decided to visit Agnikund, near Mysore, around 4 hours drive from Bangalore. The three went for boating in the river when the incident took place. While the bodies of Javed and Aftab have been recovered, Azad’s body is yet to be found.

None of the three were married and are survived by parents and siblings. Their families, meanwhile, have left for Bangalore to collect the bodies. It is not yet known how the three fell into the river.
