Mahender told the police that at 9.30 pm, a customer asked for 250 grams of groundnut and offered sweets to them. “He was carrying a pack of sweets, which he offered us and we ate it. A couple of people known to us were also there, and they too ate those sweets. We were fine till we went to sleep around 11.30 pm, but we could not get up in the morning. Our neighbours took us to Manimajra hospital, from where we were referred to General Hospital, Sector 16,” Mahender said.
