30 honoured for giving away their scholarships

Chandigarh, February 16 The GGDSD College, Sector 32, honoured its 30 meritorious students for their gesture of giving away their scholarship money to other needy students of the college. Justice S K Jain of the Punjab and Haryana High Court gave away the certificates of honour to these students.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Jain said that the act of the students at such a young age deserves accolades. He motivated other students to work for social causes and lauded the teachers of the college for imbibing good values among students. Principal Dr A C Vaid said the generosity would go a long way in earning goodwill for these students.

Earlier, these students had received scholarships for their distinguished performance in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities in the previous academic session of the college.
