Raipur, November 23: Re-polling in 33 booths across seven assembly constituencies in Bastar division in Raipur will be held on Monday.

Polling in these booths could not be held during the first phase on November 14 due to Naxal violence, looting of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) by Naxalites and also because some polling parties could not reach their booths on time.

However, the Election Commission is yet to decide about re-polling for seats polled during the second phase.

"Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) would be deployed in all the 33 polling booths. Besides, videography of the polling process would also be done," Chief Electoral Officers' staff said.

They, however, refused to give the exact number of security personnel to be deployed when the polling would take place between 0700 hours and 1500 hours.

The booths where re-polling is to be held include seven in Antagarh constituency, two in Bhanupratappur, seven in Narayanpur, six in Dantewada, seven in Konta, one in Bijapur and three in Chitrakote.

Polling was held this month in two phases for 90 Assembly Constituencies in Chhattisgarh.

In the first phase, polling was held for 39 seats across 10 districts in the state whereas in the second phase, it was held for 51 seats in eight districts.

Counting of the votes will be done on December 8.
