Roy, who had cut her veins with a blade, was admitted to the Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead.
Roy’s father Kalyan Roy said she was suffering from mental illness following her divorce.
“Her first husband died a few years ago. Later, her second husband divorced her. Since then, she has been living alone,” he added.
