Panchkula, January 1 A Case of rape has been registered against four youths from Gurgaon after a 20-year-old resident of Sector 21, Panchkula, claimed she was forcibly taken to Faridabad by her ex-boyfriend on December 27. The in-laws of the girl, on the other hand, claim she had willingly gone along with her former boyfriend after taking all the cash and jewellery from home.

“The girl from Gurgaon was in love with a Muslim boy, Shahid, one of her classmates in Gurgaon. As the parents never wanted their daughter to marry the boy, they got her married here in Panchkula but the girl remained in touch with Shahid. On December 27, she called Shahid to take her with him after which he and three other boys came to Panchkula and took her away,” said SHO, Sector 5, Balwant Rai. He added that as the girl had taken all the cash and jewellery with her, the in-laws got an FIR registered against her.

Today, the girl was traced and brought to Panchkula along with Shahid and both were arrested. The SHO added, “Now the girl claims that she was taken to Faridabad by Shahid and his three friends against her wishes, and raped several times. A case of rape against the four boys was registered today.” Though Shahid has been arrested, police are on the lookout for the other three boys.
